NICOLO Zaniolo ensured AS Roma won the first UEFA Conference League event, Thursday (26/5) early morning WIB, after scoring the only goal in the final against Feyenoord which ended 1-0 for Il Lupo.
The Italy international scored a goal in the 32nd minute to seal AS Roma’s first trophy since 2008 and lead Jose Mourinho to success in his first season with the club from the Italian capital.
“It was a very tough game but I’m very happy. This was a dream of mine and I managed to make it come true,” Zaniolo told Sky after the game.

Feyenoord actually appeared better by controlling the game but they were unlucky after two of their shots hit the post in the second half.
However, AS Roma’s tight defense did not flinch in the face of the Eredivisie club’s dominance and ensured the Giallorossi fans were delighted.
More than 50,000 people packed the Stadio Olimpico in Rome to watch their favorite team make history in Tirana, Albania.
Meanwhile, AS Roma supporters who were able to watch the match live at the National Stadium cheered when referee Istvan Kovacs blew the long whistle.
As for Feyenoord, the defeat in the UEFA Conference League final was their first loss in a European competition final and the Arne Slot’s first defeat in the UEFA Conference League this season. (AFP/OL-1)
